About LetterHouseMedia

LetterHouseMedia publishes a portfolio of daily email newsletters. Each one has a single subject and a single promise to its readers, and all of them share one newsroom, one set of editorial standards and one fact-checking process.

Our mission

To publish daily newsletters that respect the reader's time and attention: specific, well-sourced, clearly labelled, and checked before they send.

Why a portfolio

Readers don't want one newsletter about everything. They want the right newsletter for the thing they care about: tonight's dinner, a repair at home, a good-news story, a straight read on the day. Running several focused publications on one platform lets each stay narrow while sharing the parts that should never vary between them: how facts are checked, how sponsors are labelled, how corrections are made, and how your consent is handled.

How an issue is made

We use AI throughout our newsroom, and we want to be precise about what that means.

  1. Story selection. Each publication gathers candidate stories from sources ranked by reliability. An issue doesn't go ahead without enough stories backed by primary or wire sources.
  2. Research. Every source we cite is fetched and saved as a snapshot. Checks run against that saved copy, not against a model's memory.
  3. Writing. Drafts are written with AI models working from the research, in the publication's own voice.
  4. Claim checks. Every factual sentence is broken into individual claims. Automated checks confirm that quotes appear in the source, that numbers match the cited passage, that dates make sense and that links work.
  5. Two independent fact-checkers. Two fact-checking models, run by two different AI providers, review each claim separately against the sources. If both agree a claim is supported, it stays. If not, it is rewritten, softened or cut, and unresolved disagreements go to a person.
  6. Quality and compliance gates. Further automated checks cover originality, readability, sponsor labelling and the legal footer every email must carry.
  7. Human approval. Editors approve issues at defined checkpoints. Every issue of a new publication is approved by a person before it sends, and the approval is tied to the exact final version. If anything changes afterwards, it needs approving again.

If any required check is missing, out of date or failing, the issue does not send.

What we don't do

  • We don't add you to a newsletter you didn't sign up for. Recommendations from one of our publications to another need your click to take effect.
  • We don't sell ad space that looks like editorial.
  • We don't publish AI-generated images of real people in news coverage.
